Event Wrap Up: OPSWAT DAY 2018 in Japan

On October 24, 2018, OPSWAT Japan Co., Ltd., a leading provider of Data Sanitization (CDR) and Multi-Scanning technologies, hosted a seminar co-sponsored by Net One Partners Co., Ltd., OPSWAT’s primary distributor in Japan. The agenda included OPSWAT’s strategy and product portfolio, as well as the latest technologies, case studies and partner solutions.

In the opening session, OPSWAT’s CEO & Founder Benny Czarny presented the challenges facing the global cyber security industry and how OPSWAT protects organizations from advanced cyber attacks. OPSWAT’s CTO Taeil Goh highlighted the company’s core technologies, including Data Sanitization (CDR), Multi-Scanning, Vulnerability Assessment and the newly released DLP (Data Loss Prevention). F5 Networks Japan’s Mr. Matsumoto described the power of integrating F5® BIG-IP® Load Traffic Manager™ (LTM®), F5 BIG-IP ASM and F5 BIG-IP SSL Orchestrator with MetaDefender ICAP Server, protecting organizations’ infrastructure and web applications from file-based malware.

Mr. Yoshikawa of Net One Partners Co., Ltd. provided the latest information about the MetaDefender Kiosk product and presented a turn-key kiosk solution collaboratively designed with OPSWAT. He also presented an overview of the world’s first “OPSWAT Academy” hosted by Net One and featuring hands-on product training. MetaDefender Kiosk is a checkpoint for detecting and stopping security threats before they enter an isolated network. Three different models of Kiosk terminals were featured in the demonstration area and proved very popular with the seminar participants. OPSWAT Japan Co., Ltd. President Minagawa finished the session by speaking about the business status and future developments in Japan.
